Q: Why is the trial version restricted?

A: SIMS is available free for potential users to try before they make a purchase, to make sure SIMS is suitable for your / their needs. The trial version is restricted to ensure it is used appropriately. A watermark is embedded in the trial or unlicenced version to provide further safeguarding against illegal use. All of the functionality in the full version is also available in the trial version but any document printed will always have the text ‘unlicenced’ embedded into it until a purchase is made and a registration key sent.
