Q: My company does not charge VAT (Sales Tax), how do I disable it?

A: Firstly go to the "System Properties" screen under the "System Management" section. Under the "System Properties" window to the right of "Company Details" you will notice various options governing Sales Tax.

From the main toolbar click the "Modify System Properties" button to enter "Edit Mode". You can now set 'Sales Tax Name' to " " (i.e. blank), 'Sales Tax Amount' to 0% and also uncheck the 'Auto Calculate Totals'.

Once the properties are amended click the 'Save System Properties' button from the main toolbar. Now when you add products to the invoice and database no VAT will be added.
